Today is the beginning of the new year in the Human Design system, so Happy New Year ✨
There’s something about this day that feels like a breath. Not the kind of “new year, new you” pressure — more like a quiet doorway. A moment to look at your life and business and ask: what am I really moving towards now?
Especially if you’re a menopausal entrepreneur, you already know this isn’t just about strategy. It’s about energy. Capacity. Truth. What matters now. What’s worth your time. What you’re no longer willing to tolerate — in your schedule, your relationships, your business model, even in the way you speak to yourself.
So let’s start here.
How do you want your next chapter to look?
It’s a great day to think about the year and years ahead — your next chapter.
How do you want it to look?
Where do you want to make an impact and contribute to society?
Not a glossy, performative impact. The real kind. The kind where you feel proud at the end of the day because you used your voice, your brain, your lived experience, your creativity — and you didn’t shrink.
Sometimes the next chapter isn’t about adding something. It’s about choosing what you’re finally ready to stop doing. It’s about letting yourself outgrow the version of you who needed permission.
The consequences of action… and the consequences of staying still
The other day I heard this quote: “Action has consequences — but inaction also has consequences.”
And honestly, it’s so true it’s almost annoying.
Because we can dress up inaction as lots of things: “I’m waiting for clarity.” “I’m just not ready.” “I need to learn more first.” “I’ll start when life calms down.”
But becoming self-aware means seeing where you’re staying stuck — in fantasies, expectations, and yes… sometimes the arrogance that says you have all the answers (or that you’re meant to).
That doesn’t make you bad. It makes you human. It means your nervous system is protecting you. And it also means you’re ready to meet yourself more honestly.
There’s a fine line between holding a vision — which is powerful — and gripping it so tightly that you refuse to move until you know every step.
But we don’t get the whole map. We get the next step.

The recipe: present moment, next step, right people
The recipe is being in the present moment and taking the next step — and then taking it from where you are after that step.
Not the perfect step. Not the step that proves you’ll never fail. Just the next one.
And please don’t do it alone. Surround yourself with people who see your vision and can remind you when you get off track. People who can reflect you back to yourself when you forget who you are.
This is also why learning your Human Design chart can be so clarifying (like I teach my clients). It shows you your personal, unique genius. The more you tap into that, the closer you get to it — not by forcing, but by aligning with what’s actually true for you.
Because it’s not about doing more.
It’s about doing less… but the things you do bring into the world are chef’s kiss, not fast food. They have substance. They have integrity. They have impact.
And here’s the part I really want you to hold today:
Your future might look so much better than your imagination allowed.
Which is why we don’t need to control the whole journey.
We just take the next step.
Much love,
Sharonah x
